Ian Booth has DJ’d all over Ireland and occasionally beyond (Ibiza & UK). He has released music and remixes on some well established labels in the Trance music scene. He has remixed tracks for Lisa Lashes, Reaky and many others. His music has been played worldwide by some of the most exciting DJs in the scene (John O’ Callaghan, Mark Sherry, John Askew, Simon Patterson…).
Ian is a Trance and Techno music DJ and producer from Co. Meath. Despite growing up in a Gaelteacht area and being surrounded by Traditional Irish music and dancing his whole life, he never took more than a spectators role in it all. His calling was always to club culture and dance music.
Fast forward to 2008; When Ian met Kane. Kane spoke passionately about his vision for a concept he was working on, called “Ceol-Tec”. The idea of a Traditional band, featuring a DJ, playing their own material. Re-arranging traditional tunes to fit newly created dance music productions and gelling it all together in an uncompromising blend of traditional and electronic music, creating something new and unique. This was something that finally gave Ian a chance to be someway involved in the traditional scene, albeit in from a very different direction.
